about

Aline Homzy grew up in Montréal where she studied violin starting at five years old. Upon completion of her studies at CEGEP Marianopolis, she moved to Toronto and Graduated from Humber College - School of Creative & Performing Arts - with a degree Bachelor of Music with Honours. Aline has received music awards from MusiCounts, Yamaha, The Duke Provins Festival, TD Canada Trust and the Moe Koffman Foundation. She has studied and played or recorded with world reknown mentors such as Dr. Billy Taylor, Danilo Perez, Fabian Almazan, Nicky Schrire, Ted Quinlan, Drew Jurecka, David Occhipinti and Roberto Occhipinti. She is a high-demand session player and live performer in the Toronto music scene.

Hailing from the prairies, Andrew Kesler is both an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer currently based in Toronto. He has performed internationally for headlining acts in Singapore, Japan, Holland, Germany, Italy, the US and across Canada as a keyboardist, guitarist and vocalist. An honours graduate from Humber's music degree program, Andrew is the recipient of the Clement Hambourg Memorial Award, the Moe Koffman Universal Music Award, the Marilyn Michener Memorial Award, and most recently the Humber Studio Award. He has studied with artists Hilario Duran, Brian Dickinson, Dave Restivo, Mike Rud, Al Kay, Bruce Cassidy, Steve Hudson, Rob Bulger and Larnell Lewis.

Aline and Andrew met at Humber College where they found themselves playing music together in a variety of ensembles. After starting a Mahavishnu Orchestra tribute project in 2010, they soon realized how their individually diverse musical tastes complemented each other and went on to write music as a duo. The soon to be released "Dragon Suite" is their first creative endeavour together. In 2012 it was nominated "Best Jazz" at the Toronto Independent Music Awards and in 2013 it was nominated at the international Independent Music Awards in two categories; contemporary classical album and instrumental song.
